ふくろい遠州の花火の観客席で「光の海に溺れる絶叫体験」

「夜空が見えなくなった…こんな花火は初めて見ました…」、「視界全部が閃光と爆発！とにかくスゴかった…」、「夢をみているみたいだ…来てよかった…」。日本有数の花火大会である静岡県袋井市で毎夏行われる花火大会の観客席でこの絶景を体験した人の言葉だ。

爆音と絶叫の中、眼前を色鮮やかな閃光が覆いつくす。日常では決して見ることのない景色を人は絶景と呼ぶ。

規模の多きさや打ち上げ数もさることながら、「ふくろい遠州の花火」で体験することができる「絶景」は、眼前をおおいつくすほどの光と音の瞬間である。

郊外の河川敷で行われる花火大会で、かなり遠くからも見ることができる花火大会だが、この「絶景」を見ることができるエリアは限られていると言われる。それは会場に設けられた観覧席と呼ばれるエリアだ、観覧席には二種類があり「協賛席」と「有料席」である。

「絶景」と呼ばれるものは、天候や太陽の位置など、ある一定の条件がそろわないと見ることができないことが多い、ふくろいの花火の絶景の条件は大きく分けて二つである。

1.花火観覧に最適な角度で設置された観客席であること

2.打ち上げ時に風があること

この二つが揃うことが条件である。

1の理由として考えられているのは、全国の花火名人が技術を競う「全国花火名人選抜競技会」である会場では、最優秀賞である「文部科学大臣賞」を競い花火の選手権も行われている。その為、花火師は審査員のいる観客席に美しい花火を最高の状態で届けようと打ち上げている。その結果、審査員の座る「観客席」に最も花火の光や閃光が集中しているというもの。

また、絶景を体験した観客が口を揃える「音」だが、これも打ち上げ場所に近い観客席だからこそといえよう。また、音楽に合わせて花火を打ち上げるなどの音にこだわった演出も「光の海に溺れる絶叫体験」に一役買っていると言えるのではないか。

2の条件が最も難しいと言われる。なぜなら天候は人が操ることができず、年に一度だけ行われる花火大会の一瞬に吹く風に左右されるとはなんとも厳しい条件だ。

求められる条件は、北風、西風、東風の三方向の風であり、また風速約2～3ｍ以上あることが望ましいと言われている。理由は、あまりの打ち上げ数の花火の煙が煙幕となり無風ではこの絶景は成立しない、無風の場合は雲のように立ち昇る煙幕の中で閃光が炸裂するのである。

「ふくろい遠州の花火」大会を毎年見ている地元の方の話では、「観客席のチケットを手に入れても、風や雨など、「絶景」と言える最高の条件がそろうのは数年に一度だね」とのこと、年に一度しかないチャンスであり、難しい条件ではあるがそれゆえに体験した人は貴重な経験である。

一般発売される「観客席」か、花火協賛者に分けられる「協賛席」のチケットを手に入れ、気象条件を待つ（一般でも協賛は可能）。天候が変わりやすい真夏の夜ゆえに絶景には不確かな要素が含まれるが、それゆえにもし体験出来たら運命的な幸運である。この夏、まだ見たことのない「絶景」を求めて静岡県に足を延ばし、光の海に溺れてみたらいかがだろうか？

有料観覧席のご案内

■ブロック席
ブロック席は、１ブロック50名の細かい区切りをロープで囲っております。看板を頼りに、ご指定のブロック席をお探し下さい。

ブロックの中は、お一人づつの区切りはありません。「相席」となりますので、譲り合いながらのご鑑賞をお願い致します。

なお、お一人様のスペースは85ｃｍ×90ｃｍとなっております。下は芝生となっております。各自レジャーシートをご用意ください。

■ＡＢＣＤブロック席（イス席）

ブロック席の後方（南側）に位置するパイプイスの指定席です。
ＡＢＣＤブロック席は、全てステージを設置し地面よりも約1メートル高くしてあり、更にパイプイスを並べております。
一段高い位置から鑑賞でき、更に花火は全て正面から打ち上げられるので、お客様の満足度は一番です。

また、トイレが近くにあり便利です。

■「あ」ブロック席 ペアチケット（イス席）

「あ」ブロック  ペアチケット席 は有料観覧席では最も西側に位置するパイプイスの指定席です。売店は、「あ」ブロック席のスグ後方に位置しておりますので、お買い物には大変便利です。

■ファミリー席（4名様1組）

「ファミリー席」は、1ブロック210cm×180cmのスペースに4名まで入ることができる席です。
1段高い丘の上に設置されていて見晴らしも絶好。目の前に花火が打ち上げられます。
4名までなら何人で使うかはお客様の自由です。

有料観覧席以外の公園内や原野谷川河川敷等の自由席からも、綺麗な花火をご覧いただけますが、

迫力ある絶景をご覧いただきたいのなら、有料観覧席がおすすめです。

A spectacular experience of drifting in a sea of light from special seats at the Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Festival

“The night sky was covered in light. I’ve never seen fireworks like this before.” “The only thing I could see was the flashes and explosions! It was just amazing.” “It was like a dream. I’m so glad that I was there.”
These are just a few comments from people who have experienced the Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Festival from the special seats. This festival held in Fukuroi, Shizuoka prefecture every summer is one of the biggest fireworks festivals in Japan.

Colorful flashes cover your sight, as the night is filled with the sound of explosions and cheers from the crowd.
In Japanese, this sort of view that one can never see in normal daily life is called “zekkei.”

The scale and the number of fireworks at the Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Festival are great, but the “zekkei” that you can experience here is to be found in the moments when your eyes and ears are blanketed by the sight and sound of fireworks.

The fireworks festival is held at a riverbed on the outskirts of town, so you can see the fireworks from a distance. But it is said that you can only enjoy this “zekkei” from a limited area; the special seats inside the venue. There are two kinds of special seat. One is a “sponsor seat” and the other is a “paid seat.”

You can see “zekkei” under certain conditions, when the weather and the position of the sun are just right. There are essentially two conditions that create zekkei at the Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks.

1. You must be sitting in one of the special seats that is placed at the optimal angle to enjoy fireworks.

2. There must be wind blowing when fireworks are launched.

These two conditions have to be fulfilled.

The reason for the first condition is that the fireworks technicians try to display their best fireworks for the judges in the special seats. This festival is also the “National Fireworks Expert Tournament”, an event in which fireworks technicians from all over Japan compete. That is the reason why the flashes and sound of fireworks accumulate around the special seats the most.

And the spectators who have experienced “zekkei” also mention the sound as it can only be heard from the location of the special seats. Those seats are closest to the area where the fireworks are launched. Furthermore, special effects such as how the fireworks are launched in time to music played inside the venue also contribute to the experience of “drifting in a sea of light.”

The second condition is most difficult to ensure, because nothing can be done to control the weather. Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Festival is held only once a year and is affected by wind at that moment.

The wind must blow from three directions: north, west, and east.
It is also said that wind speeds of two to three meters per second are most desirable.
Because so many fireworks are launched, clouds of smoke will hide their flashes if there is no wind. Without wind, there can be no “zekkei”.

One of the locals who goes to the “Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Festival” every year says “Even if you get a ticket for the special seat, because of wind and rain, the conditions for zekkei are only met once every few years.” You only get a chance to see “zekkei” once per year, and the conditions are not easily cleared, but that makes it all the more special if you are able to experience it.

Get a ticket for either a “paid seat” or a “sponsor seat” and wait for the conditions to be cleared. (Anyone can be a sponsor.) The weather on midsummer night is unpredictable. You will never know if the conditions are cleared or not. But if you are able to experience zekkei, it is fate. It means you are one of the lucky few. Come visit Shizuoka and experience drifting in a sea of light!

Guide to Paid Seating

■Block Seats

50 people can be seated in each block. The blocks are divided by ropes. Check signs and look for your seat. The inside of each block is not divided for each person. Visitors must share the space with others. Please share this great experience kindly with others.

A space of 85cm x 90cm is available for each person. Visitors will sit on a field of grass that is kept cut short. Please bring your own ground tarp.

■Block Seats ABCD (Chair Seats)

These chair seats are located behind (south of) the Block Seat area. Block Seats ABCD with folding chairs are set on a stage that is 1m higher than the ground level. Because visitors can enjoy the fireworks from the high stage, and the fireworks will be all launched in front of them, this is the best area to sit.

There are also restrooms close by.

■Block Seats “あ” Pair Ticket (Chair Seats)

Block “あ” Pair Ticket Reserved Chair Seats are located on the western edge of the paid seat area. Because there are food stalls right behind the seat, it is a convenient place to go get something eat.

■Family Seats (A group can contain 4 people)

4 people cant fit in a block of Family Seats, which has an area of 210m x 180 m. The area is set on a high hill and the view is great. The fireworks will be launched right in front of you.

Of course, visitors can enjoy the beautiful fireworks free of charge from areas such as the park or the free areas on the riverbed of the Haranoya River. However, paid seats are recommended if you wish to enjoy the spectacular “zekkei” view.
